We will be discussing points raised by these OER videos:

Democracy in Crisis: Is It Our Fault? - Amit Kobrowski 

 Rethinking Civics Education - Andrew Duden

The session will last no more than one hour.

To get the most out of our discussion, it would be helpful to preview the video before the 16th and reflect on some questions:

    • What’s your favorite primary document or lesson that resonates with world history students?

    • Is part of the issue here not just a lack of a unified American narrative of history but a lack of historical context in World History here in the United States?

    • How do you inspire students to become civically engaged? 

    • What knowledge and skills are necessary for students to be effective and productive citizens in the 21st century?
